Prayer Points for Day of Prayer & Fasting (27/07/17)

Thank you for signing up to pray for one hour today. In this hour we ask that you focus especially on praying for our city and for our church. Do pray as the Lord leads you but, to help us pray as one body across this day, please use the points below as a guide.

When he [Jesus] saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” - Matthew 9:36-38

Prayer for Norwich

Re-read Matthew 9:36. Pray for the multitudes of people in Norwich. Pray for a move of salvation across our city. Pray for the transformation of lives.

Pray for the influence of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:14). Pray that Satan’s strongholds will be broken (2 Corinthians 4:4; 1 John 5:19).

Pray the promises of God such as Psalm 2:8.

Prayer for One Church

Re-read Matthew 9:37-38. Pray for a mobilisation of our members/attenders into mission and ministry (i.e. into workers). Pray that we would be a people who go out into the “harvest field”.

Pray that we would be a church that takes responsibility for the lost, the last and the least. Pray that the ‘My 3’ prayer initiative (in which we ask church folk to pray regularly for 3 people in their circle who don’t yet know Jesus) would be something that becomes part of the culture of the church.

Call in the multitudes into One Church. Pray that we would see a genuine move of salvation as we go after the lost.

Pray for an increase in signs, wonders and miracles - for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit and a mighty demonstration of God's power in and beyond One Church (Acts 4:33; Romans 15:18-19; 1 Corinthians 2:4).

Pray for Your Circle – ‘My 3’

Spend some time praying specifically for the 3 people on your ‘My 3’ list. Pray for opportunities to share the gospel. Pray for their salvation. Pray that the veil would be lifted from their eyes (2 Corinthians 3:14-15; Acts 26:18).
