Prayer Points for Day of Prayer & Fasting (10/04/19)

Prayer for Norwich

Read Matthew 9:36. Pray for the multitudes of people in Norwich. Pray for a move of salvation across our city. Pray for the transformation of lives.

As we believe God for all people in Norwich & Norfolk to turn to Him, pray specifically for the salvation and discipleship of young people across our region. Please also pray for a releasing of young people/the next generation across churches in the region.

Pray for the influence of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:14). Pray that Satan’s strongholds will be broken (2 Corinthians 4:4 & 1 John 5:19).

Pray the promises of God over the city such as Psalm 2:8.

Pray thy kingdom come in Norwich. As per 1 Timothy 2:1-4, pray for the various authorities in the city (e.g. MPs, Lord Mayor, local councillors, council executives, police commissioner, etc.). Pray for the kingdom of God to come across civic institutions (business, education, health, media, government, policing, etc.).

Pray for the Christians in the city who are involved in these sectors to exercise increasing salt and light influence.

Prayer for One Church

Read Matthew 9:37-38. Pray for a mobilisation of our members/attenders into mission and ministry (i.e. into workers). Pray that we would be a people who go out into the “harvest field”.

Pray that we would be a church that takes responsibility for the lost, the last and the least. Pray that the ‘My 3’ prayer initiative (in which we ask church folk to pray regularly for 3 people in their circle who don’t yet know Jesus) would be something that becomes part of the culture of the church.

Call in the multitudes into One Church. Pray that we would see a genuine move of salvation as we go after the lost.

Pray for an increase in signs, wonders and miracles - for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit and a mighty demonstration of God's power in and beyond One Church (Acts 4:33; Romans 15:18-19 & 1 Corinthians 2:4).

Read 2 Chronicles 7:14 & Romans 12:1-2. Pray for all in our church family that each and every one of us will seek to consecrate ourselves and be dedicated to God’s service in daring faith, unswerving hope and radical love.

Read Deuteronomy 6:5-7 & Matthew 18:5-6. Pray that the children and youth in our church will be protected; that they will grow and flourish in all that God has for them. Pray that they will have a relationship with Jesus from a very early age; that they will know His commandments and walk in all His ways. Pray too that they will know their true identity in Christ; that they will be strong and do great exploits.
