FIRST TIME VISITORS
If you are visiting us for the first time, WELCOME! Please see one of the Kids & Youth Team who will be happy to help you register your child(ren) and give you an ID card, something that helps us prioritise the security of your child(ren).
ONE KIDS PROGRAMME (2-11 YEARS)
We want One Kids to be a place where your kids can have fun and also where their creativity is challenged and they are inspired by the Word of God.
The kids programme is for children aged 2-6 and 7-11 and generally starts after the Praise & Worship in the main service, so parents/carers are responsible for their child up to this point. After the Praise & Worship, listen out for the announcement for the kids to go to their programme. One Kids will proceed to their space with the One Kids Team where they will have an amazing time learning about Jesus, worshipping God and being discipled by our trained Kids Team.
Please collect your child(ren) straight after the service. Please ensure you have your ID Card with you.
Location of kids venue: the kids space is located near the front entrance just in the Café area.
We fondly welcome anyone who is joining us for the first time. Our friendly team members greet all visitors upon arrival in order to offer assistance and answer any queries, such as offering information about the youth and kids programmes. We understand that bringing your family and your children to a new church environment can be a daunting task, but we as a church family want to offer reassurance that any visitor can be expect to be welcomed and assisted by our team.
ONE YOUTH PROGRAMME (APPROX. AGES 11-16)
The young people aged 11-16 remain in the service until the end-of-service refreshments at 12pm. They then have the optional opportunity to move through to their own ‘Youth Café’ time in the Café area, which is the same room where the adults gather post-service. In the Youth Café, the young people sit with each-other and with one of our One Youth Team members in order to briefly discuss the morning’s message and catch up.
This programme has proven to be a winning formula for the young people at One Church as they have been able to hear the same messages as their families and have been able to make their own notes and action plans. The youth people get the opportunity to be fully part of the service and therefore also have the opportunity to explore serving on one of our teams.
During the service, the young people are given the option to receive a structured note paper in order to take notes before participating in the Youth Café discussions. This is not a test, but rather, it is the chance for the the young people to think through the following questions and give their own answers should they wish to:
What was today’s message about?
What did God speak to me about?
What am I going to do with this?
In the Youth Café, the young people are treated to complimentary drinks made exclusively for them such as hot chocolates with marshmallows and cream. The fun yet relaxed coffee-shop atmosphere that the young people get to enjoy with each-other and our dedicated team members is a point of celebration in our church family, and we are excited to see this discipleship group grow to new levels.
Note that the front row of the auditorium is always reserved for those who have accessibility needs and our friendly team is ever-willing to serve those with any additional needs.
